Yes, we are insured. When you book with Minneapawlis Pet Boarding, LLC, you book with peace of mind knowing that your pets are safe and well-cared for. In addition to our general liability insurance, our extensive policy includes animal bailee coverage and veterinarian expense reimbursement.
What kind of animals do you care for?
We care for dogs, cats, and many critters, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, parrots, chinchillas, turtles, and fish. Please note that dogs, cats, and critters are housed separately.
Do you provide service on holidays?
Yes, we provide service on all holidays. Holiday periods may be subject to a $10/night surcharge.
Do you offer doggy daycare?
Due to high demand, we are not currently accepting new doggy daycare clients. We are only accepting new boarding clients.
My dog isn't kennel trained, is that a problem?
Not at all! Kenneling is not required and many dogs in our care do not use kennels. We will keep to your dog's normal routine during their stay with us.
ARE THERE ANY BREEDS YOU DO NOT ACCEPT?
Yes, at this time, we are not accepting the following dog breeds: Akita, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Boxer, Dobermann, German Shepherd, Mastiff, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, & those predominantly mixed with the following breeds listed above.
how much time will you spend with my pet?
All of our sitters have work from home arrangements so pets in our care can receive attention throughout the day. Please note that while we provide care throughout the day and stay in the home overnight, our sitters do still have occasional obligations outside of the home. Service does not include 24 hour constant care.
how does this differ from a facility?
With Minneapawlis Pet Boarding, you get the best of both worlds - You will have the convenience, professionalism, and reliability a facility has to offer but in a much more relaxed and tight-knit environment. Pets in our care love the 1 on 1 attention, small play groups, and homely ambience.
How does payment work?
An initial deposit may be required for your reservation. The remainder of payment is collected at pick up (Mendota Heights invoicing may take place the following day).
We do accept many forms of payment, though we prefer cash (not accepted at the Mendota Heights location). Our savings on processing fees are passed on to our clients through a cash discount as well.
We also accept Zelle, Venmo, and all major credit cards.

Can I see the space before booking?
Absolutely! Many in-home boarding providers do not provide a tour, but we feel it is necessary for our clients to know where their pets will be staying. We provide a tour at the time of the daycare assessment. We will help give you a better idea of what a typical day will look like and answer any questions you might have.
After this point, please do know that this service takes place in our private residence, not a facility, so we just ask that you may please respect our professional boundaries with our families’ work-live space.

We found this company about a year ago and have used them multiple times since then. We took two ten day trips and they watched our two dogs, plus a few shorter ones. They are reliable, send frequent updates, and our dogs love them.
